Here's the current build I've got:

I recommend a primary SSD of atleast 256GB. I have 2 256GB SSD's on which windows runs and programs/games I love, then I also have a HDD where programs I don't love and programs that are too big go.

If you're going to get him a gaming build and least throw in a cheap gaming keyboard with macro keys etc.

Hey only wants to run his OS off of the SSD.

He works full time.

He picked out the keyboard. He said he wants to upgrade later, but to spend the majority of his budget on the actual PC.

There's really no point in spending money on a SSD if it's only going to hold ~10GB of stuff.

Posting for Chris:

Post in my favor - Tell him a 64gb sdd will be fine; he can put his OS and games on there for faster loads, etc. Other than that the build looks pretty solid from what I can see (on mobile atm so…)

Also, tell him to double check the size of the case. Te 980 might fit snug

Any suggestions on similarly priced/sized monitors?

I mean, he'll probably be loading more than just the OS off of it, but that's his primary concern.

I'll drop him down to the 64gb. Should he stick with the mid tower or bump it up to the full tower?
