Global Forum Rules

The rules mentioned below apply to every section on the forums. Please be sure to read them thoroughly as to not risk breaking any part of them in the future.

1. No Spamming

-Spamming is generally defined as Stupid, Pointless, Annoying Message. This includes any sort of post that does not contribute to the thread (eg. posting "Looks good!" on a Suggestions thread). Making posts that are clearly meant only for post count will be deleted and a possible infraction could be given.

2. No Advertising

- Website advertising is not allowed via forum threads, posts, or PMs. You are allowed to advertise your website in your signature, but no where else is it allowed. Server advertisement is only allowed in the Server Advertisement Section, our Top Server List, and in your signature.

Any sort of advertisement via PM (personal message) is strictly forbidden. This will result in a ban and possible censor put on your site's URL.

3. No Flaming

- Simply put, flaming is insulting others. This is not allowed at any time. If any arguments or flame wars take place publicly (eg. in a thread or on the shoutbox), all parties involved will be given infractions and possible bans. Take it to PM or some other form of communication.

4. No Trolling

- Trolling is a major issue on the internet. Basically, it is the act of doing something to provoke a negative response out of someone. This usually results in flame wars and is strictly forbidden. Anybody caught trolling will be given an infraction or ban, depending on the severity.

5. Stay on Topic

- Pretty self-explanatory. Don't post how much weed you smoke on a thread about The Bible.

6. Post in the Correct Section

- Should not have to be a written rule, but unfortunately we have had people post in different sections simply because they noticed a bit more activity from it. Doing this will result in your thread being removed and an infraction will be given.

7. Hacks, Phishers, Viruses, and the like:

- As with most communities, any sort of malicious content and behavior is strictly forbidden here. Posting infected links and downloads will result in a permanent ban.

8. No Disturbing Content

- This includes any sort of pornography, gore, hate crimes, racism, sexism, etc. Anybody caught posting (even via PM) any sort of disturbing content will be given a permanent ban.

9. No Selling/Buying

- Due to issues we've had in the past with scammers, no buying or selling is allowed. This includes RSPS sources and clients, and RuneScape gold and accounts.

10. No Backseat Mods

- Attempting to enforce the rules when you are not a Coordinator ends up causing more issues than it solves. Because of this, backseat moderating is not allowed. It is to be left only to the Coordinators and Administrators.

Shoutbox Rules

These rules apply specifically to the Shoutbox.

1. Do not ask for RSPS help

-Asking for RSPS help in the shoutbox is not allowed. Please use the RSPS Help Section.

Asking for other kinds of help (eg. web development) is allowed, but please keep the discussion short. If it starts getting lengthy, take it to PM, a thread, or some other form of communication.

2. No Advertising

- No advertising of any kind is allowed in the Shoutbox. Please use the RSPS Advertisement Section and the Top Server List to advertise your server.

3. No Thread Links

- Posting thread links in the shoutbox is not allowed.

What is allowed?

There has been some confusing regarding the topics below. Here is the truth about them:

*Multiple Accounts

- Creating and using more than one account is allowed. However, do not use them for thing such as poll cheating, bumping, ban evading, impersonating someone else, or avoiding reports.

*RSPS Services

- Paid services for RSPS are allowed. However, RuneLocus is not involved in any deals you make with another member. Your security is your issue. Please trade carefully. You may not sell RSPS sources or clients however as these are not a service.

*Double Posting

- Double posting is allowed, just do not double post simply for the post count.

  • Attempting to cheat on the Top list. A couple of common cheating tactics are: proxy voting, automated voting scripts, forcing visitors to vote (see: VIII) and collecting votes from outside your server territory (see: IX).
