Delta is maybe not the most simple to code to it's bad naming and conventions but if your extremely new to coding then it would probably be good to start out with it. There are many many different server revisions which are superior in every way, such as PI, but delta can be pretty fun to code.

I'm not sure what you're asking here, it seems as if your asking how to code a delta server. You can't just write down how to code a server as there are many different aspects to it. My personal advice to you would be to jump right in to some tutorials and get started with them and as you read them and do them try to take stuff in and see what everything does as this is how you will learn.

Here's some stuff you could do to begin with:

- Add the Dungeoneering capes into your client.

Here's a list of basic tutorials for delta beginners which would also be perfect for you.

Thanks, that's always nice to hear. I don't use skype or any messenger services (i.e. MSN) anymore, but if you have any questions or need any help you can always send me a private message on here. I recently got back into the whole RSPS programming area and at the moment I tend to check Runelocus about 4 or so times a day so I'll probably be able to reply to any questions you have fairly quickly.

Good luck with your server! :gg:

Honestly, I'd say not to start with Delta. The base is terrible, and unstable. Use Project Insanity base, it's more stable.

Here's a link to a PI source and client: http://www.runelocus.com/forums/showthread.php?84752-PI-Caligo-Realm-PK-Spawn-Eco-TokHaar-Kol-100-Korasi-%28With-anim-s-and-GFX%29

PI is much easier to understand, so if you think that you'll struggle reading lots of code then use it. But this is your first server, so if I were you I'd just look at and experiment with both to see what I would feel better with. Delta is a pretty old source and is out of date now and so there aren't that many tutorials left for them compared to the sheer number of PI which fill up at least half of each page in the tutorial sections of forums.

I use delta purely because I enjoy fixing up all the code adding in and completing all of the half started/finished features. To me, doing that is half the fun. Edited by Comboed
