Laptop

Recommended Posts

I plan on buying a laptop for school since I sold my desktop computer, but I have a question:

Should I buy an Ultrabook and pay the big price or buy a normal laptop and add my own pieces after? (SSD and memory)

Gaming laptop or casual use (browsing, writing, etc.)?

I would use it for programming, browsing and small tasks, no gaming, but still want a SSD, good processor and all.

The only thing I would add is a SSD and memory.

Do you think adding a SSD would be possible?

I'm not sure, I think it would be, it would be safer asking christopher though.

I have found another laptop with an SSD for you though. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1387397&CatId=3989

You can overclock the processor and make it a lot faster if you wanted. It also has an NVIDIA GT 610M which you could game on if you wanted to if you ever get bored of doing school work :P. Edited by Spear

Just a question, since you aren't doing much heavy processing, have you considered a Chrome Book? I've been looking around, they seem cheap, fast and there's a few compatible IDEs.
