Need help.

Recommended Posts

Well. My old computer just took a shit on me a couple weeks ago, so i'm forced to share a computer with my mum. I never really built my own computer, but I'd like to. Anyone suggestions about this build? Free feel to call me an idiot. I know absolutely nothing about hardware.

Well, go easy. I'll accept criticism and suggestions

Mr. Geek has come to the rescue.

Give me 15-30 minutes and I'll have a full on gaming PC at your disposal for $1000.

If that's your budget.

I see flaws in your build already.

Are you seriously going to 'build your own computer'? o.O

I know some electronics, but I'm definatly not able to build a computer.

Goodluck, and would you post some pictureson how far you get?

Building your own computer is way cheaper than buying a pre-built one, plus you get to choose your own specs and whatnot.

I can try. This will be a "Learn how to make a computer, or fuck up and buy a new one" project. I'm sure I could do it though.

Yes, but if you fuck it up like I would, then buying a new one would be way cheaper.

Since I'd restart 5 times because I can't stand starting something without finishing it.

But; if you do know what you're doing then yea, it might be cheaper.

No idea about that.

Kryptic, stop posting. You're causing the thread to go even more off-topic.

@Glen`, I told Chris about the broken links, he said he cba'd to fix at the moment. Just grab the Item Number and search it on Newegg.
