That's quite funny actually, since Dug was always telling me how much they sucked.

Dug is now a bit of a mac fan and I absolutely despise anything related to Apple whatsoever. :D

Not my current computer, but rather a gaming rig I'm gonna build this week:

Processor: Fx-8320
Motherboard: m5a97 r2
Memory: 8GB
Graphics: HD 7950 3GB
PSU: Idk
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB

Thoughts?

If you haven't bought things yet, the 660ti out-preforms the HD 7950, you can have a 60gb SSD for a boot drive (although you may want to try to find a 80 gb one to be safe), 2133mhz RAM, an Ivy Bridge CPU, and a feature-packed Z77 chipset mobo for ~$830.

Budget would be good.

I find it quite hard to recommend the AMD processors to be honest, they are being walked over by Intel at the minute.

Budget is kinda a hard thing to tell, because I live in brazil and prices are wildly different here.

But I also have no need of an SSD, don't really care about boot times since I only boot my computer like once a month.

The only thing I've bought so far is the 7950, so I might go with an i5-3570k.

I kinda built my current setup in a few months, upgrading it soon as a new Xeon releases :)

Processor: Dual X5677 Xeon's
Motherboard: ASUS Z8NA-D6C
Memory: 32GB
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 680
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB x2 and a 256GB ssd

It's not a gaming computer, i use it for other things than gaming.. and Xeon processors aren't for gaming either :p

I'm buying a new setup soon as a new motherboard launches, cause i need more GPU's... a single 680 aren't so good.

(I do Graphics and video rendering.. Processors and GPU is a must..)
