Marc 2 #41 Posted April 2, 2011 Your melting that poor thing alive. 80C is dangerous. Take a microfiber cloth, open up your laptop and dust down the fan blades etc, and/or use compressed air to clean them. Make sure you open the case and clear all accumulated dust from inside the machine as well.
Toonshorty 0 #42 Posted April 2, 2011 That CPU is getting a little toasty. Mine is currently at 41°C idle. Yeah, notice the amount of information you get from a custom built PC.

Remember, it's a laptop, not a desktop I'll restart the computer, and see what the average temp is, and then I'll post it, and then turn it off and clean it, post it again. With my XP Desktop, it always used to shut down, but I vacuumed the fan once, and it never shut down anymore( on C&C Renegade.) But the poor XP died. :(
Dean 1 #44 Posted April 3, 2011 Ah, that did nothing. I tried to unscrew everything to see the fan, but you can't even. I could care less now, meh. I can still play RuneScape for a little bit, all I have to deal with is a computer turn off, I guess. Thanks for the help, you guys. I appreciate it. It isn't hot at all, I felt the inside of the computer, and the outside. It's just the cords or what ever that make it "hot" Once again, thanks.
