Ever Wanted To Make A iPhone/Mac App, But Didn't Have A Mac?

Recommended Posts

Unless you plan on your app being extremely non-functional, you'll have to know Objective-C. Yes I've used Xcode, and I've taken a class on Objective-C before, so I know what I'm talking about.

Guys, unless you know Objective-C don't even bother.

Or HTML/CSS.

You haven't looked around the web have you about iPhone app development?

You can do it entirely in HTML/CSS with a simple plugin.

Just drag+drop your iPhone sized HTML and CSS files in a folder, and you've got a fully working iPhone app!

That's all very well and good.

Except, HTML and CSS together are only good for creating a page style and design.

For any dynamic content you'll need something like PHP.

that doesn't justify the crime, i'd even rather use java (which is something you'll rarely hear me say) and make an android app. obj-c is just that bad.

desktop php interpreters exist
