Because everyone needs 12GB of RAM?

4GB would do, 8 at a push - 12 is just a waste of money unless your running virtual machines (proper ones, not RSPS hosting)

Don't waste your money, build it yourself - my PC is similar to that tigerdirect one for $1499 and costs a mere $920... says everything about building yourself really.

Alternatively, buy the parts - ship them to me - I'll put it together and ship it back across (you're paying :p)
