  1. Unfortunately, I do feel the need to make rules for the section since I have noticed an increase in people using it simply to get post count for their advertisement thread. We like to discourage spamming for post count here, as the forums would be quite messy if we allowed it. 1. Introduce Yourself As is the whole purpose of this section, we want you to introduce yourself to us! Just tell us a little about yourself, how you found us, why you're here, etc. No need to go into detail; we don't need to know your street address! NOTE: Please be sure to make your introduction worthwhile. Stuff like, "Hi, I'm (insert username here) and I'm new!" is not acceptable. 2. Welcoming the Newbies We encourage you to welcome the new members! In fact, we want you to! However, if you are the new person, it makes no sense for you to be welcoming someone that has been on the forums longer than you. When you do this, it is obviously for post count and will result in your post being removed. 3. No Advertising This is a global rule, but I feel the need to repeat it here. No advertising of any sort is allowed in this section. Your thread or post will be removed and an infraction will be given.
  2. NOTE: If any of these rules are broken, your thread may be deleted without warning (unless otherwise stated), so be sure to thoroughly read them. 1. Bumping Blatant bumping is not allowed. We prefer you use a more effective way of bumping: with server updates. This ensures your server is in constant development, which in turn attracts more players. This can only be done once every 24 hours. We do realize that you may not always be able to update your server every day, so we do allow the occasional non-update bump, but please try to make it something more creative than "Bump". Your players are allowed to bump your thread for you, and we even encourage this! However, when you ask them to do so, please have them be creative with it by mentioning something about the server that they like! Here is an example: Please note that your players may only bump once per 24 hours per person. If you notice someone doing it more often than this, please notify a mod and we will take care of it without your thread being affected. When other members post compliments on your thread (ie. "Nice server!"), thanking them will count as your daily bump. However, if someone asks a question pertaining to the server, your response will not count towards your daily bump, allowing you to bump your thread when it comes time. Please note that player count does not count as a server update. Also, you must post the server updates in a new post, not just "Updated thread!". If any part of this rule is broken, you will be given one warning before your thread is deleted. 2. One Thread Per Server This is pretty self-explanatory. If you come to post an advertisement thread and notice somebody else already has, you may PM a mod or admin with proof that you are the owner (ie. screenshot of you logged in to your server panel on the toplist) and we will remove the other thread, allowing you to post your own. 3. Banned from the Toplist/Server List? Don't post here! If you were banned from the Toplist/Server List, that means you cheated somehow, and we no longer want to help promote your server! If you feel your server was banned unfairly, please post an appeal thread here. 4. Thread Format In order to keep things looking neat around here, we have come up with a format for you to follow. All of these must be included in your thread: 4.1 Thread Title Your thread title may contain the name of your server and the server revision ONLY. We do not allow anything else in the title; your thread will be deleted without warning.Good Title: Bad Title: If you post a thread with a title that breaks this rule and you notice it before a mod does, send us a PM and we will fix it for you. However, once your thread is deleted, you will need to re-post it with the correct title format. 4.2 Links You must provide clear links to your server/client downloads. Website links are allowed as well.Adf.ly, Sharecash.us, and other such click-for-cash links are allowed, but you must label them as such and provide direct links. 4.3 Information & Features No one will join a server without knowing what they can expect! Please provide a list of features that your server has. This can include hosting information, member benefits, minigames, etc. Pretty much anything you feel is worth mentioning! 4.4 Media Some of the best advertisement comes from in-game images and videos! Unfortunately, due to some people's connection speeds, we must limit the amount of media per thread. Your thread must have:At least 3 in-game images outside of spoiler tags and no more than 20 total images (not including animated GIFs).No more than 5 animated GIFs.No more than 2 embedded YouTube videos.If this rule is broke, you will receive one warning before your thread is deleted if the issue is not resolved within 48 hours (2 days). 5. Server Advertisement Only This section is not for the advertisement of hosting, programming, or any other service. We have a services board for that. 6. "Leeched!" Under no circumstances do we allow people to spam threads with this. All servers are a leech of some sort. Anybody seen posting this will receive an infraction and their post will be removed. NOTE: If any of these rules are broken, your thread may be deleted without warning (unless otherwise stated), so be sure to thoroughly read them. --

For example, when people post things such as:[/INDENT] [B][INDENT][INDENT][quote]Join it's supur fun yo or Everyone join, we need more staff and players![/quote][/INDENT] [/INDENT] [/B] [INDENT]Even if you aren't double posting, that is spam and it is bumping. [COLOR=red][B]ONLY you are allowed a single update bump every 24 hours, no one else is allowed to bump it for you[/B]. Meaning that the bump must contain new information as a reason to bump your thread, and it is only allowed every 24 hours so you can ensure that your thread doesn't die. You're not allowed to create new accounts and pretend to be other people, you WILL be caught, and you will be punished accordingly.[/COLOR][/INDENT] [B]2. No posting multiple advertisement threads.[/B][INDENT] You're only allowed [B]one[/B] advertisement per server. NOT per person. Meaning you can't have an admin, mod, and the owner of the server all post an advertisement. They will be [B]deleted[/B] and the posters [B]will[/B] receive infractions accordingly. I shouldn't even have to state this rule because it's so obvious, but apparently it isn't to some people. [/INDENT] [B]3. If your server is banned from the toplist/status page, you can not post it in the advertisement board.[/B][INDENT] The advertisement board is another advertisement privileged that Runelocus provides. If you abuse one of them, you are no longer permitted to use any of them. Don't attempt to simply change the name of the advertisement either. [/INDENT] [B]4. No claiming "leeched".[/B][INDENT] Claiming leech without proof will result in an infraction. If you find something that really is directly stolen, report the thread or send a PM to the mods, without posting in the thread. Posting that something is leached is spam, starts fights, and is hypocritical considering 99% of you guys "leech" to a certain extent. [/INDENT] [B]5. No IP's or URL's in the thread title[/B] [indent]If it's seen, your thread will be deleted without warning.[/indent] [b]6. You must follow the format provided below, or a very close variation[/b][INDENT] [B]6.1 Thread Title[/B][INDENT]Must contain the name of your server and the revision [B]only[/B]. No URL's or IP's, and [B]nothing else[/B], simplicity is key in this situation.[/INDENT] [B]6.2 Banner[/B][INDENT]A banner is not required, but [B]strongly[/B] suggested. They must be a understandable size. If your banner is too large, it will be removed.[/INDENT] [B]6.3 Downloads[/B][INDENT]All links must be valid and appropriate. A virus scan is required on anything that is not purely java (for instance, executable installers). Only post links [B]once[/B]. Posting a link more than twice will result in your advertisement being deleted.[/INDENT] [B]6.4 Server Information|Features[/B][INDENT]A well thought out and descriptive list of features and other important and interesting information about your server. Lists of commands are NOT allowed. Hosting machine specs would be considered as information.[/INDENT] [B]6.5 Server Images|Videos[/B][INDENT]Images of the servers features, activities, etc.[/INDENT] [INDENT]There is a limit of 20 images, 5 gifs, and 5 videos allowed in a single advertisement thread. Going over this limit can cause pages to lag and is just overkill. - Try to remember that your first three images must be OUTSIDE of a spoiler tag, therefore they are visible when first visiting your thread, without user interaction.[/INDENT] [B]6.6 Server Updates|Logs[/B][INDENT]The recent and dated updates and events corresponding with your server.[/INDENT] [B]6.7 Closing Information & Support Signatures[/B][INDENT]Please provide a visual and the URL of the image for support signatures.[/INDENT] Please remember that all images must follow the forum's image rules. Use common sense, if you think it's just right, it's probably too big. [COLOR=red]Keep in mind that an advertisement must have at [B]least[/B] 3 images of the server in-game. So if you should fail to follow these guidelines accurately enough you will be warned (depending on how many posts your thread has received) or your thread will be [B]deleted[/B]. You have no say over the decisions of the moderation, and therefore, we decide if the font is too large.[/INDENT] If you fail to follow these simple and obvious rules, you will be punished and your thread will be [B]deleted[/B], not locked.
  4. I was chatting with some people in the shout box and asked them to look at my thread. So I posted a link to my thread and now i'm banned from the shoutbox...Explanation? If asking people to veiw your threads is against the rules the i'm sorry however can I please regain access to the shoutbox?

    I feel this is needed, I think this was here before the crash, and I feel it needs to be added again.
  8. This board is primarily for the sole purpose of showing off any sort of development of features, tools, effects, and so on. Pictures/videos aren't necessary but would probably be recommended. What is not allowed here: Development of servers - use the Projects board instead. Advertising - you are here to show us what you're working on, not to advertise it as a service. Team recruitment - simply not the place to hire people for services. Please be advised you should only be showing off things that are worth showing off, we don't want this board cluttered with people showing off their new Yanille home location or how short they can make their sendMessage method, etc.

    It would be nice if a link to the rules could be placed on the navbar. If we're trying to enforce them, they should be able to be found quite easily. If I was new here I'd have no idea how to find the rules.
  11. Recently, I have noticed that too many are posting links to threads/advertising/ asking help in the chatbox. I feel that Ikiliki needs to add the rules in red at the top.
  12. hi.... can some 1 help me?? im looking for this and trying to fix it for like 5 days!! some 1 please help meeee there is no rules options in my duel arena... but they work.. only i dont know where to send the god damn string for the sentence! (like "no melee, no ranged, no prayers, no drinks....." look this... EVERYTHING WORK WELL only no Words.. and there is no accept or decline pics TOO so please help me and tell me how to add them! some 1 tryed to help me via teamviewer and he thought that all the duel arena dont work... wtf he wasted all my time.... so IT WORK!   13. yesterday, after bumping a thread, i got a warning from faab. he told me if i keep spamming ill get a post reset.
