  2. Hi there! I'd really like some help, please! I'm hoping to get the attention of a half-decent, or better-than-me programmer who could lend a hand! On my server, when you walk away from another player, and they leave the minimap, that player disappears completely. You can't walk back and see them. They're just gone. It's PI based. If you know the fix, or even know where the fix is located (if in another thread) please point me in the right direction! I am in need of some people who are willing to play the server as if it was released, and be able to jot down miscellaneous bugs and glitches for me to fix. I want to bring near-best experience when I launch Elysium Reloaded. This server is a old school, PI (ewwww gross, get over it. most people who play servers don't know the difference), with some custom additions. My last server, which failed, was a success for a short while before everyone gave out. What do I need to do to be involved? -Well, you need to either post below quoting my post, or private message me. I will pm you back my skype, or if you do not have it I will give you a small form to fill out which can be found below, if you wish to not give out your skype, you may just post it below filled out correctly. Requirements? -I only have a few.   6. Straightforward. I am starting up another RSPS, or just bringing one back. The ex-co owner took 200$ and ran with it, canceled vps and I didn't bother hosting it anymore for a month. But I am hosting it again and need some beta testers to help 'perfect' or 'bug-free' the source, making it better for the common user.   8. Hi there, I was wondering. Is it possible to make objects and npc's some of them, Appear only for the player who has completed the required quest or anything you assign. Such as Lighting a lantern for a quest. Lets say we have player L33tkiller and player Fairstone * this is just to show you what i mean* In player.java we have private booleans [CODE] public boolean startedLightLantern = false; public boolean inProgressLightLantern = false; public boolean completedLightLantern = false;[/CODE] Both players can see a npc called, Lantern lighter. Once you talk to him you can start the quest which will make [CODE]public boolean startedLightLantern = true;[/CODE] So lets say. Player l33tkiller started the quest which makes the boolean set true for him. But for player fairstone its still false. So i want for player l33tkiller, If the Boolean is True to spawn certain npc's As example [CODE]World.spawnNPC(133, new WorldTile(3602, 3339, 0), -1, true);[/CODE] So i do not want player Fairstone be able to see it Since he is still on false. Now for an object Such as a lantern. There are lanterns across runescape. Take as example lantern ID 6413. I already got them ready so you can light them. But, i only want the player be able to light them if they are true with the boolean. If you are false with it i want the player fairstone not be able to see nor activate it. And as last. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Lets take the fightcaves, The tzhaar fight caves once you start them, takes a certain part. Copy's it to an empty space, And makes it an private space for just the player. So you cant multiplay there. Is it possible to make it for more area's? To make it copy a certain zone/region and make it private in an empty space. Thanks in advance i hope that it was not a bad explanation.

  11. Ok, soo, this is my first tutorial, so go easy on me lel. **Server Sided** Open your Settings.java You want to make sure that the "General Settings" Match this. [CODE] public static final String SERVER_NAME = "Osiris"; public static final int PORT_ID = 43594; public static final String LASTEST_UPDATE = "<col=7E2217>Latest update: Changed to 718!"; public static final String CACHE_PATH = "data/cache/"; public static final int RECEIVE_DATA_LIMIT = 7500; public static final int PACKET_SIZE_LIMIT = 7500; public static final int CLIENT_BUILD = 718; public static final int CUSTOM_CLIENT_BUILD = 3; [/CODE] Most important is the CLIENT_BUILD = 718, and the CUSTOM_CLIENT_BUILD is either 1, 3, or 5. Well, the port is important as well... **Client Side** This part is a little bit trickier. Open your Loader.Java and change all of the IP's from "" or "" to either your NO-IP or your regular ip which can be found [URL="http://www.whatismyip.com/"]HERE[/URL] Now make sure that [CODE] public static final int REVISION = 718; [/CODE] Matches the CLIENT_BUILD from Settings.java(Server side) and that [CODE] public static int SUB_REVISION = 3; [/CODE] Matches the CUSTOM_CLIENT_BUILD from Settings.java(Server side ofc) Ok, so close and save both of those if you have not done so already. Now normally, you would just compile the Source and Client right? Well, if you are using Matrix 718 client, there is a problem with that. When you run the compiler for the client, it says that there are 3 errors and 14 warnings, However, the errors aren't really errors so there is no way i know of to fix them. And if you know anything about compiling, if there are errors, the compiler doesn't compile anything. There are two ways to remedy this issue. 1. The easy way. Download Eclipse if you do not already have it. It can be found [URL="https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/"]HERE[/URL]. Once it is open, Click: File>New>Java project Like this [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/chUn6dO.png[/IMG] Now a screen will pop up that looks like this. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/4vbpjyI.png[/IMG] So, for project name, make it whatever you like, i have mine as "OsirisClient" so i know it's the client. Then, uncheck "Use Default Location" And hit browse. Navigate the browser to the client folder, don't open any of the folders inside, just the client folder itself . Now click "Finish". If you Look to the right you will see the new project and it will have an large red exclamation point on it meaning that something is wrong, but not critically wrong. That, will stop eclipse from compiling the client itself as to not mess anything up. The fix for that is pretty simple and goes as follows. Right click the Project folder, again in my case it is "OsirisClient" and click Build Path>Configure Build Path. that will open a screen that looks like this: [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/k5SSC7J.png[/IMG] The error, is that the directory for "clientlibs.jar" is incorrect, it doesn't match your actually directory. So, what you want to do is select the clientlibs.jar line and hit Edit on the right hand side. That will open up another browser window, so, browse to the lib folder of your client and double-click the clientlibs.jar file in there. And poof!, your red Exclamation point is gone, and Eclipse can now compile on its own. From here, what u want to do is re-open Loader.java and click in the middle of any word and add a space, then remove it. Now just close the file and it will tell you that it has been modified and ask if you want to save. Hit yes and it will close and compile the client folder. Now you are all set to Jar the client. I won't add that part in here cause there are guides all over the place for that. 2. The hard way. This one you would have to find out how to do on your own, but you just need to find out how to fix the three errors in the files, if im not mistaken, they are in Class466.java(Thats a good place to start looking for the fix). And that's it! I figured i would post this to help some ppl out cause i spent 4 hours trying to figure out how to let my brother and my friend on to test stuff xD I looked all over google and couldnt find the answer to my problems, and now there is one I hope you enjoyed and please, feel free to leave feedback on how i did with the tutorial.   12. Hi. I'm making a 317 PI pking server. I've added customs such as the spirit shields and chaotics. They're visible to me. The inventory & wearing models are all fine. But to my friend, who's coding with me, they're invisible. He is using the same client as me, so he has itemdef.java with the customs added into it. He also has the same cache as me with the imported models. So, here's the two perspectives. What I see on my screen: [url]http://prntscr.com/1dmnin[/url] What he see's on his screen at the same time: [url]http://prntscr.com/1dmnk6[/url] Keep in mind that the recoloured items show up on his screen, but not the custom added models, such as spirit shields and chaotics. And also remember that he has the most up-to-date client (with the models in it), and the cache (with the models in it). I have no idea why he can't see these items. Could anyone help me? Thank you!
