4. Hello, I have an issue whilst creating an account on my rage-scape client, it seems to be working perfectly fine. I can login, play etc. But after I've signed off, and try to login again it says; Invalid LoginServer Requested. Please try using a different world. Not sure what to do, I've deleted the character files in the data, and remade the account, but it keeps happening. Is there a possible fix to this?
 5. Hey first I will start off with, this can easily be converted to any revision. What this System does is: -Shows every ip logged in on a specific user -Shows every user logged in on a specific IP For example: data/logs/ips/high105
Wed Aug 13 18:51:53 PDT 2014: high105 Logged in on IP:/127.0.0.1:51486 Wed Aug 13 18:51:55 PDT 2014: high105 Logged out on IP:/127.0.0.1:51486 Wed Aug 13 18:51:55 PDT 2014: high105 Logged in on IP:/127.0.0.1:51490 Wed Aug 13 20:16:16 PDT 2014: high105 Logged out on IP:/127.0.0.1:51490 Wed Aug 13 20:16:16 PDT 2014: high105 Logged out on IP:/127.0.0.1:51490 Wed Aug 13 20:16:16 PDT 2014: high105 Logged out on IP:/127.0.0.1:51490
data/logs/ips2/127.0.0.1
Wed Aug 13 18:51:53 PDT 2014: high105 Logged in on IP:/127.0.0.1:51486 Wed Aug 13 18:51:55 PDT 2014: high105 Logged in on IP:/127.0.0.1:51490
*******FIRST****** Begin by adding the paths data/logs/ips & data/logs/ips2 So obviously my package is in org.server.util So that is where I'm going to place this class Obviously, my class name is Serializer These can easily be changed to whatever you wish.
package org.server.util;; import java.io.BufferedWriter; import java.io.FileWriter; public class Serializer { public static void appendData(String file, String text) { BufferedWriter bw = null; try { FileWriter fileWriter = new FileWriter("./Data/" + file, true); bw = new BufferedWriter(fileWriter); bw.write(text); bw.newLine(); bw.flush(); bw.close(); fileWriter = null; bw = null; } catch (Exception exception) { System.out.print("Error while writing data: " + file); } } }
Now go to where your player logs in. Mine happens to be org.server.model.World; add your import (if you changed what was in red before, change it again here)
import static org.server.util.Serializer.appendData; import java.util.GregorianCalendar;
in your logout method sometimes known as unregister or unregisterconnection add
appendData("logs/ips/" + player.getPlayer().getUsername() + ".txt", new GregorianCalendar().getTime() + ": " + player.getPlayer().getUsername() + " Logged out on IP:" + player.getPlayer().getConnection().getChannel() .getRemoteAddress());
In your login method sometimes known as register or registerconnection add
appendData("logs/ips/" + player.getPlayer().getUsername() + ".txt", new GregorianCalendar().getTime() + ": " + player.getPlayer().getUsername() + " Logged in on IP:" + player.getPlayer().getConnection().getChannel() .getRemoteAddress()); appendData("logs/ips2/" + ip + ".txt", new GregorianCalendar().getTime() + ": " + player.getPlayer().getUsername() + " Logged in on IP:" + player.getPlayer().getConnection().getChannel() .getRemoteAddress());
Then compile and restart. AGAIN: Make sure you have the folder locations data/logs/ips & data/logs/ips2 I'm sure there is a more efficient way to do this, this is how I happened to do it. Also, you will have to change these to match your server Get player Name
player.getPlayer().getUsername()
&
player.getPlayer().getConnection().getChannel().getRemoteAddress()
6. LOGGING CHAT FROM USERS Iv seen a few tutorials for this but people scatter around their codes, but really- this only takes 1 string of code. What this is used for is, whenever a player says ANYTHING in your server, it create a .TXT document for everything they ever say from now on in 1 file. A different file will be created for any member who says anything. In the WorldChat, there will only be 1 file that will contain every chat message anyone ever said on the server in order from time. This could be extremely useful to crack down your"Report Abuse" button and track scams, offensive language, and account scamming. 1.)First things first, open your WorldPacketsDecoder.Java. 2.Search this in your WorldPacketsDecoder.java:
Logger.log(this, "[Chat type " + chatType+"] "+player.getDisplayName()+": "+message+"");
And paste this directly below it:
try { DateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("MM/dd/yy HH:mm:ss"); Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance(); System.out.println(dateFormat.format(cal.getTime())); final String CHAT_PATH = "data/logs/chatlogs/"; BufferedWriter writer = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter(CHAT_PATH + player.getDisplayName() + ".txt", true)); writer.write("[Chat type " + chatType+"] "+player.getDisplayName()+": "+message+""); writer.newLine(); writer.flush(); writer.close(); } catch (IOException ioe) { } try { BufferedWriter bf = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter( "data/logs/chatlogs/WorldChat/WorldChat.txt", true)); bf.write("[Username = " +player.getDisplayName()+ "] " +message); bf.newLine(); bf.flush(); bf.close(); } catch (IOException ignored) { }
3.)Now once you have this code inside your WorldPacketsDecoder.java, go into your "com>data" folder and create a new folder called: "logs" 4.)Now create another folder called "chatlogs" inside the folder you have just created. 5.)In the "chatlogs" folder create another folder called "WorldChat" 6.)Inside the "WorldChat", Create a .TXT file named "WorldChat.txt". 7.)So the file tree should look somthing like this:
data>logs>chatlogs>WorldChat
Your now done! If you guys get any errors, please comment it, and i will make sure to edit my post :)!
 7. Using Rune-evo source, any idea how to add this?
 8. This is my first time making a server, so sorry for being a noob. But I have my server up and running locally, but when I try to login, it says incorrect username or password. I suspect you have to manually add player data to the server? But the problem is, I have no idea how :D . Again sorry if this is a noobish question, but help is appreciated :)

 12. Does anyone know what this error means and a fix? Its annoying me to hell... I randomly logout, Quite often and it didn't happen until recently.
 13. Well, here's the problem. New players can't login and it will spam my cmd with the following error. Apart from that, everything is fine as server runs well and existing players can connect. Didn't notice this problem until like a week, so i'm really clueless as to what went wrong. 15. Hello everyone, I downloaded and began working on my first project, a PI based server, yesterday. I logged in, went to the pest control area, logged out, went into the source and maxed my stats and made myself owner like a boss, gave myself 200 pc points, and then changed the initial spawn and respawn locations to my coordinates, which I assume corresponded to where I was last standing at pest control. I then changed the ::home command to those same coordinates, and altered the exp rates. After doing all of that, I try to log in to the server to see if everything worked, and about 10 seconds after logging in, I immediately disconnect, or "deregister" as the cmd says. I attempted to log in a few more times, all ended the same way, and noticed in my client's cmd this message: "Error Sontch too many npc's" I haven't spawned any npc's or anything, I've only done what I've stated above. Can someone please enlighten me as to what I need to do stop the disconnection problem? Sorry if this is an extremely simple problem, I'm rather new. Thanks, ~Sontch

 17. This is pi's code just edited to make it look more neater and organized :D Go to Player.java declare this:
public boolean isyelling = false;
Than go to Commands.java. under
String playerCommand = c.getInStream().readString();
add:
if (!playerCommand.startsWith("/") && !playerCommand.startsWith("yell")) { c.getPA().writeCommandLog(playerCommand); }
than look for:
if (playerCommand.startsWith("yell")
and under it add
c.isyelling = true; c.getPA().writeCommandLog(playerCommand);
Lastly go to PlayerAssitant.java and replace this with your old one:
public void writeCommandLog(String command) { checkDateAndTime(); String filePath = "./Data/logs/commands/playerommands.txt"; String filePath1 = "./Data/logs/commands/staffommands.txt"; String filePath2 = "./Data/logs/commands/ownerommands.txt"; String filePath3 = "./Data/logs/commands/yellommands.txt"; BufferedWriter bw = null; try { if ((c.playerRights > 0 && c.playerRights < 3) && c.isyelling == false) { bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter(filePath1, true)); } else if (c.playerRights == 3 && c.isyelling == false) { bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter(filePath2, true)); } else if (c.isyelling == true) { bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter(filePath3, true)); c.isyelling = false; } else if(c.playerRights == 0 && c.isyelling == false){ bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter(filePath, true)); } bw.write("["+c.playerName+"]: "+"["+c.date+"]"+" - "+"["+c.connectedFrom+"] "+"::"+command); bw.newLine(); bw.flush(); } catch (IOException ioe) { ioe.printStackTrace(); } finally { if (bw != null) { try { bw.close(); } catch (IOException ioe2) { } } } }
