1. Welcome, thank you taking a look at my Advertisement thread. I've been messing around with a 718 server and creating it to my own liking and adding some cool content that some other servers don't have. I'm creating a free to play server no microtransaction no donating none of that bullshit. Why? Because every server I see on here always has something related to donating for better items memberzone ect ect ect.... I was trying to create a 317 but I just didn't feel it was right... So I switched back to 718s I feel like there needs to be a bigger community torwards 718s that aren't just download and host. I've been putting work into this and I've been learning while doing so. I've added some of my own content (No its not great ofc) But it is good. It's my own it's never before seen. which is what a player wants. So lets continue shall we? Yes indeed! We are VPS hosted to insure low downtime (If any at all only for updates) Which will be monitored everyday. So thank god for that! Welcome to your new home area. I've never seen it used in servers (Although I don't play alot) It's content packed with a load of shops. Everything you find will be free to the player... I've created a super user friendly interface under the task tab. There you can easily teleport around, obtain a new daily task. And of course as you can see above. Access different locations. There is a in depth help guide to Alterin. To help any player! It will also be udpated accordingly to the community. I loved this idea I came up with I feel like it will "handle" most of what you need. A lot of servers I see have pretty lame banks, I added players to login with some great outfits and better starting items. Nothing special here... I've added a cool login interface that changes to a new message upon every login. Thought it was neat. You can disable it under your settings... Which is also neat. good image hosting sites I'm always adding some new content or something different for the players. Although I'm ready to launch my beta version so I can get real player input on this. I've done some combat tweaking to some bosses and added a pretty cool path finding for NPCS. It was more mainly for summoning pets but I used it for this boss tweaking. Eh? Well what do you think? Just download that easy JAR file (Java is required) And just login and play straight away. No strings attached... There is a website (Sorta I'm finishing that up) You can click above or download right here Run Alterin 718 Updates

  3.
For those of you who don't know, Mod Infinity is RuneZone(Nathan) , the owner of the RS Fansite "Runezone.com" You can see him confirming so here: http://i.imgur.com/E2mstzU.png, or here: http://runezone.com/status/index.php?id=73293 Mod Infinity forged a court injunction, and was too stupid and left in a line which could be googled and traced back to the template he used in a tutorial. Later he claimed "ignorance" saying he did not know a COURT had to approve a COURT injunction, and got a rival fansite shut down (RS Demon) You can see/read the evidence here: http://i.imgur.com/qMEDsrV.png Other Evidence of conflict of interest:

RuneZone.com or its subsidiaries have appeared in every community chronicle since the 2nd one.
Jagex created rules which stated ads on fansites could not advertise any games, or RWT. This is impossible to do, since ads are given by a third party which goes off users search history. Meaning sites like tip.it do not get platinum fansite status, however, of course, RuneZone.com is a platinum fansite.
Mod Infinity is the community manager, and "Fansite curator" many moderators he has chosen are from RuneZone, and him being the fansite curator is an obvious conflict of interest.
Further evidence of Mod Infinity trying to take over the RS fansite market: http://i.imgur.com/JDGV37I.png

-source-
Before he was hired by Jagex, Mod Infinity forged a court injunction to get a rival fansite shut down, and left in a line which could be googled and traced back to the template he used in a tutorial. Later he claimed "ignorance" saying he did not know a COURT had to approve a COURT injunction. I posted about this three months ago in a related thread about Infinity's favoritism towards RuneZone: In 2011 RuneZone and another site (RSDemon) were in a spat that involved them using content from RuneScape Wiki, which was the reason I was involved. There were also other circumstances related to those two sites trying to merge, or having previously been merged -- I'm not familiar with the details. Nathan, from RuneZone (now known as Infinity) sent the following to RSDemon's host:
<RuneZone>, Petitioner, v. <RSDemon>, Respondent VERIFIED PETITION FOR TEMPORARY INJUNCTION JURISDICTIONAL ALLEGATIONS This is an action for the equitable remedy of a temporary injunction. Copyrighted content is being used and distributed. FACTUAL ALLEGATIONS Petitioner has personal knowledge that respondent <RSDemon> has a well-formed plan to act in a manner that will bypass the petitioner claims. The planned act complained of is COPYRIGHT ACT 1988. There is no substantial public interest that will be contravened by this Honorable Court issuing an injunction favoring this particular petitioner. There is a substantial likelihood that petitioner will prevail in this action, because the facts obtained on the record by discovery will reveal that the website in question is in breach of numerous computer misuse acts. UNDER PENALTIES OF PERJURY I affirm that the facts alleged in the foregoing are true and correct according to my own personal knowledge. BEFORE ME personally appeared Peter Piper who, being by me first duly sworn, executed the foregoing in my presence and stated to me that the facts alleged therein are true and correct according to his own personal knowledge. <RuneZone>
Emphasis mine, and I've edited out the names of the two people, but one of them is Nathan and the other was the owner of RSDemon. This supposed court injunction was sent by RuneZone to GoDaddy, and RSDemon was shut down. Now, if you Google the part in bold, you'll see it's from a tutorial on how to write a court injunction. Presumably, Nathan or someone else with RuneZone copied the tutorial and sent it, without any court approval, to the website host. Nathan later wrote to RSDemon: There seems to have been some inaccuracies in the court injunction - our legal adviser had assumed that the client of a corporation could indeed submit a court injunction, however I have personally researched this and have found a court of law must verify the court injunction, and have such have withdraw the previous court injunction due to inaccuracies. Aha! Believe it or not, court injunctions actually have to be approved by a court! However, I think the damage had been done already -- the other site was shut down anyway because restoring it would have involved some sort of legal skirmish which neither of them seemed to have the money for. So that's the story of how RuneZone forged a court injunction to get a rival site shut down. Everything above is true to the best of my knowledge, although it's been three years so I'm mostly basing it off the correspondence I had with the owners of RuneZone and RSDemon at the time. I have copied the correspondence between me, RuneZone (Infinity) and RSDemon. It can be found here -- these emails have only been edited to remove personal information (names, emails), and are otherwise as-is. First is me talking with the owner of RSDemon, then me talking with RuneZone (Mod Infinity). It is not entirely in chronological order. This should corroborate what I've claimed here. Numerous people sent in complaints to the fansite program at the time, although nothing happened. Of course, Infinity somehow ended up being put in charge of the fansite support program, which has led to all sorts of favoritism towards his site -- you can read more about that here. Today, a thread was posted in the fansite forums relating to this issue -- Infinity gave sort of a non-response similar to this that didn't really address anything, and locked the thread. I am not posting the actual response due to privacy concerns. So, what do you guys think? Infinity currently runs the fansite support program, and has shown considerable favoritism to his own site, at the expense of others. Is this acceptable?
-source-
  4. For those who still play RuneScape, as of today (Monday, December 1st 2014) you may want to check your bank account or Jagex purchases. Due to a presumed 'glitch' Jagex Treasure Hunter keys (new version of Squeal of Fortune, Jagex's Micro-transactions) were purchased automatically to a few hundred players. Most players were charged for 400 spins ($100.00) without their consent. Many of the affected users paid via bank accounts, resulting in overdraft fees and other bank fees. If you are one of those affected, contact them here. Some users believe that if you used the spins you would not be getting a refund, that is not the case however since costumers for items they did not purchase is enough grounds for a civil lawsuit. TL;DR Jagex messed up big.

  6. I have a burning question that I would love to have an answer to. Everybody posts these source code files written in Java for all sorts of versions of Runescape. How do these people obtain these source code files? I have Jagex Cache on my computer from playing Runescape and would love to know how I can decompile this code to take a closer look. I know the answer is most likely not concise step-wise but I'm sure an explanation is out there. Thanks in advance.
  7. So does Jagex still care? About private servers and their sites? I'm talking about 317's, 377's, and 508's mostly. You guys remember 2006scape? Let's say you decided to take the old RS logos and modified them as your RSPS name, used the old website backgrounds for your site, and decided to host a 317. Or what if you got a 562 and hosted a RS2HD server with the newest weapons and NPC's added? I can't base the answer to this off of 2006scape because, well who knows what even happened there. I've seen a lot of RSPS websites, some down right copy and paste jobs of RS, and have read a lot of conflicting opinions as to whether or not Jagex is still after RSPS's at all, especially older models. So I want to ask: how do you think Jagex feels? Are they gathering their lawyers for a hunt, can they even do that to begin with, are they still as picky? Tell us what you think.
  8. Well as most of you will know that recently 2006Scape has been taken down but now also Near-Reality has been shut down. Near-Reality has been open ever since I started playing Runescape Private Servers, which was roughly 4 years ago. Not just individual servers there self. EDIT: Arrav has also received a call from Jagex recently apparently UPDATE: Arrav has now been taken down! Is Jagex finally going to take action against rsps? If they are, why pick on a small 20-60 player based one? I personally don't like the sounds of this at all..
  14. Well, it's quite obvious Jagex can shut down botting websites for ilegaly botting. Well, ilegally editing the jagex content is encouraged so to speak in the RSPS community. What if they desided to shut down RSPS forums? Can They? Discusssssss.

    Oh jagex..

"Jagex, fixing it until it is broken." I really don't know why you would reverse the way you hold a dragon dagger. Try the old special irl for example, just move your arms like your character moves, now do the same thing while having the top at the other side. You have to twist your wrist, which decreases the strength output by a fair bit. I'm not going to bitch about something that's less realistic, as it's a game, but to be honest. Why. The. Hell. Jagex? Also, for prayer and the new prayer cape. The prayer cape was beautiful, my little precious cape. Now what have they done, BAM, threw in a color that does not fit it at all. Why? Because they reworked prayer, again. They have made it so prayer doesn't help as much as it does now. With that I mean, turmoil isn't worth it anymore, as it costs a lot of money. Now that the eoc is coming up, I think it'll be the final blow for Jagex. They have lost lots and lots of players due to this and other failures they know they have. I do realise Jagex is owned by an American investors company now, too bad they're stupid as fuck. Their logic: "Lots of players are leaving, quick, add something ENORMOUS to the game that changes everything." The only thing they're achieving by this is attract players that aren't able to afford WoW and the people that will stick to RS forever. What they most likely realise but don't want to accept is that they're losing everyone. I just had a 350K exp lamp for being a member troughout August, I was a level 126 with 49 summoning. I am now a level 128 with 65 summoning. It is rediculous, they'll be adding another 350K exp bonus for the month september. They know they're dying but refuse to do anything about it.. Talkin' about being stubborn.. /End of rant.

    Lol @ Jagex

It actually amuses me how Jagex have been defending the rule "No Rreal world trading" for so long with the reason; "It gives players an unfair advantage over others". Now they bring in where you can basically buy money/rewards from Jagex themselves. It also makes me laugh, how they will not being Runescape to any console: "We're not going to frame our community into boxes just for a few million more customers. Of course I'd love a few million more customers, but I just wouldn't do it [...] you almost become the disease you're trying to solve." I'm sorry Mark, but I would rather have the Runescape community 'Framed in boxes' , than being conned into buying tokens on petty arcade style games, where you never win. Not to mention the advertisements that all over the page.
  19. So earlier today I got an email from Jagex. Why was my server targeted by Jagex and not servers featuring thousands of players? I ignored the email and deleted it (Foolishly). If I recall correctly it gave me a login for Jagex.com and told me to log in and discuss it with them if I had any disputes. Knowing I had previously seen servers and scapes shut down by Jagex over copyright issues, It began to frighten me, then again I remembered that it always takes around 30 days for them to even process it. When returning home from a shopping trip with some of my girls, I had logged onto my website. (Jagex Games Studio - Free Online Browser Games) to find the normal shutdown page. The control panel I attempted to access was literally unaccessible. I contacted my web host (Who I am a close friend of) and he told me over the phone due to copyright legislations I had to give it up. However I could fight it. Upon digging into more information on how I could fight it, I researched it. Due to not being in the United States, but being in Romania (One of the countries that do not have laws such as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and have not ratified ACTA.) It was technically legal to run the RS-PS. Then came Jagex's hook, the VPS that the server is ran on is located in Chicago, IL. --------------------------- Anyways my problem is that I don't know what to do. Obviously I am not going to fight it, because it would take a ton of money and I do not have that money nor did my server allow donations (I purposely didn't take donations.) Jagex has taken control of my website, and it really is not allowed. I have lost access to my IPB License Key (Located on the website forums). Which I paid 175$ for. Ofcourse I can get it back from IPB, but the forums and server was worked extremely hard on daily. (We made TONS of updates, as we updated it daily). The team working at Rotascape had completed marvelous wonders and patched tons of bugs from a source that was basically a massive bug trap. What do I do from here? Luckily I had made a back up of my files (Just hours before it was taken down) so my private server work and website isn't lost. However, I can't exactly just make a new website and such. EDIT: I would also like to say that the website, domain, and VPS was just over a week old. How did Jagex get any authority to confiscate either of those?
  20. I know you guys have seen this tons and tons of time's, but Chris Archie, Sparc Mac, Nightmarerh, And lots of others are uploading this video and when this get's spread enough as it already is then we'll have Jagex's Attention soon or a later, They can't ignore the community anymore Show the support! 23. Quote from Mod Mark:
Breaking Dicing Today we have taken the step to disable dice in the game. From today they will no longer work, and next week we will remove them all from the game. This was due to the amount of scamming and general “bad use” of these ingame dice items. While we strongly believe that what you do with your treasure is entirely up to you, we have had to step in to deal with this issue. What do we mean by “bad use” of dice items? Well, gambling for GP was never the intention of the dice. There is no support for PvP gambling within RuneScape and we do not intent to add any. Gambling is a risky pastime and nobody should ever rely on gambling to make money. Also, there was a high degree of scamming or general bad behaviour when using dice, particularly since the removal of bots a few weeks ago. While we hope that players are “streetwise” enough to recognise a scam, it’s not always the case. Sometimes we have to step in and change the game. Apologies for not doing something sooner. Since we brought back free trade we really have tried to leave it up to the player to decide what’s right and wrong. But the overwhelming feedback from the forums is that we have to just stop the problem. Don’t gamble! There are too many people who will try to scam you or alter the odds in their favour. It’s never supported by JAGEX unless it’s about gameplay (like the duel arena). It’s likely that dice scammers will move over to another method of trying to scam you, so please, be vigilant and remember... if it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably a lie. Just don’t do it.
