  1. How would I add an item like the following below into my Itemdef? I added the model ids to my cache but it keeps giving me errors when i try to add the ints to my server. So how would I redo the very bottom code to work on my client.   2. So ive been strengthening my programming skills lately by writing tons of programs, i was looking at some forums and i came across a thread that was having a debate on using Static modifiers... Ive come to rely heavily on them in all my programs and im so confused on why they are/are not bad... Ive read up alot on the subject and my searches always end up with people arguing back and forth and no real definitive answer, so ill ask all the java programmers on this site... Whats the deal with them? Should i not use them at all? Should i use them sparingly? Why are they bad? Im so confused on the subject and admittedly a little discouraged because as ive said before i use them heavily and not using them would wreck my entire programming style, but if they are really bad practice obviously i want to learn how and more importantly why to get rid of them.     Missing ints?

Today I will be teaching you some common methods used alot in the project insanity source, I think the problem with some people and there leaching skills is that they don't know the methods and some basic statements that can change a source completely. I think this will come in very handy to newcomers as alot of people don't know this [B]Methods:[/B] [U]addItem (ItemAssistant)[/U] The addItem method in different classes will be used as c.getItems().addItem(itemid, amount) it carries 2 ints that you have to declare whilst using them. void addItem(int itemID, int amount) or something like that, so you will have to put in the item id of the item you want spawned and the amount you want spawned in the next seperating them with a ",". [CODE]c.getItems().addItem(995, 200000000);[/CODE] that will add 200 million GP Same as [CODE]c.getItems().removeItem(995 200000000);[/CODE] That will remove the items. [U]addSkillXP (Player Assistant)[/U] addSkillXP Method is telling you itself like the above, it will add experience to a skill gaining experience + levels. It carries 2 ints like the above method that you will have to declare addSkillXP(SKILLID, XPTOADD); The skill id I will post at the bottom of the thread, and xptoadd is much xp as you want recommended to 200M xp. [CODE]c.getPA().addSkillXP(0, 14000000);[/CODE] That will add 14 Million experience to the attack skill. [B]Ints:[/B] Ints are usually found in the player class, or in a method declared in some other class. Using ints are very easy and great to record numbers. People use ints for premium status's which is wrong as it should be a boolean true or false, but for playerrights I support it's fine as it has different ranks. Common Ints? pkPoints pkPoints = 0, is a common int used for different features for people here is some examples how to use it... [CODE]pkPoints += 100;[/code] this will add 100 pk points [CODE]pkPoints++;[/CODE] this will add 1 pk point [CODE]pkPoints -= 100;[/CODE] this will decrease your pk points by 100 [CODE]pkPoints --;[/CODE] this will decrease your pk points by 1. [CODE]if (c.pkPoints >= 100) { c.sendMessage("Your pk points are above 100."); } else if (c.pkPoints >= 200) { c.sendMessage("Your pk points are above 200."); } else { c.sendMessage("Your pk points are lower than 100."); }[/CODE] That is another way to use them.
