  2. Hey guys names Tom. Whoever reads this i appreciate your input. So i was playing elveron, and so far. It is the best 718 protocol that I have played yet. Which is really sad. So i want some help using my ideas and probably money, and then someone else's knowledge of java and coding. I want to make a successful 718 server that is skiller, pvm, and pvp friendly. Ways for every person to make there way into the gameplay. If anyone is interested or can help me out. Ideas and input is very necessary and helpful.   7. Hi, I have recently come back to Private Servers from an extremely long break and find myself wanting to code my own again. I last coded back in 2007 when you use to click objects to train skills haha, if anyone remembers those days (hay stacks for attack xp) lol. But I want to start with something simple, and I figured that a 317 server has a good amount of basic content I could get to work on, I have taken a brief look around the server downloads section but can't find exactly what i'm looking for. Probably a few months (1-3, if all goes well) of learning and progression until the beta hits.[/COLOR] [B]Some random information about the project[/B] The name "Escape" and the slogan "Get away from it all" came from my realization that no matter who you are, life has issues. I know people need a place to get away from it all, and just relax and have a good time. The point of the server is to be as enjoyable as possible with ease of use, and designed to fit your liking. A main focus will be to have the server replete (full of) options so that you can play to your liking. As someone who's been through server after server and could never really find a good balance, another point of interest is to listen to suggestions, and do the best to pinpoint the idea as an addition to the server, without royally screwing up anything else. Finally, the biggest reason I'm doing this is for learning purposes. Naturally it's going to require help, support, and of course suggestions. In the end I hope to make something that everybody can enjoy. [B]Server Conceptual Outline[/B] This section's title may confuse some, but I'll straighten that out for you. The "Conceptual Outline" is a very general idea/theme of how it will be possible for every player to have an entirely different playing style, but all together and it not be a totally out of control, archaic mess. So, the idea is for every player to posses the ability to change nearly every aspect of the game, but still interact with all others, no matter the differences. Instead of presets, they can each be changed individually. Here's a few of the possibilities. -Experience Rate -Drop Rate -Rate of gaining points (Vote points, pvm points, skilling points, etc.) -Keep or lose items on death Now this probably raises questions like, what if a player makes one account and puts the drop rate to max, then another and puts it to min, then trades items over? Or other questions along those lines. The answer is something I'm keeping to myself and whoever joins me (no, you won't get the secret right away, you'll have to prove yourself to be genuinely experienced and interested in helping) to avoid leeching. The idea is never-before seen and I don't want it to be stolen, then I don't get credit.   14. I'm in the need of some money, why? To build a new rig. I've been stuck with a 5770 Ati radeon for a year now, no case nothing. I can't get a job, hence it's hard to get one in jacksonville, no one is hiring or they aren't hiring at my age atm. No, i can't bitcoin mine because i don't have the starting money for it, plus my parents won't be too happy with the light bill each month. I've looked into making money online, but all i can truly come across are Survey site suggestions, God, i hate survey sites. Is their anyway to make money online, at a decent rate?

  20. I'm trying to build a new webclient for my players and when I do I make the client.jar and sign it just like every tut. and video out there. When I do this I get an error: [CODE]Could not find the main class: client. Program will exit.[/CODE] ^ This shows up when you run the client.jar file and the window pops up saying that. Also, I did set the manifest to "client". If maybe someone could be that sweet dude who can teach me on Team Viewer what i'm doing wrong I would give you Administrator/Best guy ever on my server.
