1. i host my rsps on my computer and want to play it on my laptop but i cant connect to my No-ip or local host? is their a way to have two different computers connect to local host?
2. ok so i have everything coded perfectly, i have tried portforwarding a couple different of ways including u torrent and through the router manually, to much avail, i have friends that can login and play, but for some reason now i cant, i sent out the downloadable client with obviously my no-ip address in the GUI.java and also in the Client.java, and on my end ive edited everything in those files IP-wise back to ive also tried and "localhost", to no avail. then i tried switching it back to my no-ip and it doesnt work either. if anyone could help this would be greatly appreciated. i have players i need to manage and i if i cannot login there is obviously going to be issues. so please get back to me asap.
3. Okay so I tried to put a server online as a testing phase. On Runelocus status checker it says its online yet no one can connect other than me. I am using localhost to connect while everyone else is using my IP address. I was wondering if anyone knew what is going on?
4. Hey guys i've always wanted to start my own RSPS and so far everything is going well but i have an issue with the compiler and error connecting to server, Here is the issue with the compiler : http://gyazo.com/f8b5d34e4369d41531c6c7745b34211b What do i do to fix that issue? Also for my error connecting to server i have gone into the Client.Java and have changed ip to mine and all but i still cant log in?
5. Was wondering if someone would point out how to get Ardi's source to connect to Valentino's recently released client with #70 OSRS data. Currently it lets you login just scrambles up names and puts a headicon over me. I'm guessing cause the client has such items the source doesn't idk... Maybe I can fix if I knew what the problem was, but I'm horrible with client work and finding out problems that occur between the server/client. Thanks in advance.
6. Hey guys , like the title said when i try to create a new account on the server displays "Error contacting server". I'm using the Extinction source as base for my project, but i don't know where to look this mess. Any ideas?
7. I got the website part working but there was no guide on how to connect it to the server what do i do? current highscores: http://zaryte-rsps.net46.net/highscores.php
8. Total noob at programming & RSPS; go easy pls! Today I randomly decided to look into getting a private server up and running. But I already hit a problem because every client I load through the localhost won't connect.

Carefully did the PATH/CLASSPATH set-up thing.
I have changed client.java so that server =
Also tried, "localhost", and my own IP. Even threw in some IP stuff that came up when I ran IPCONFIG in command prompt for the sake of it.
I have decompiled each time (gives the "unsafe operations" error, but that's normal right?)
I have done this for both Varrockscape and Project No Doze several times, and some other client.
I disabled my firewall.
Client loads up fine... I go to login/create account... "Can't connect to server!"
Been searching online and seemingly all the solutions refer to something that I listed above. The location that I'm editing the IP is public client() { ... server = ""; ... Does that seem correct? I also noticed that when I type or localhost into my web browsers, I get an error "unable to connect" - is that part of the problem or normal? I imagine I've overlooked something obvious during the set-up, but perhaps there is some wider issue with my computer settings, that is preventing this from working. Perhaps someone more experienced can help?
9. Hello, The other day i was messing around with stuff in my computer and i think i accidently deleted all my java exceptions because i cant connect to any rsps. Not a single one. and before i messed with that i was able to play all servers
10. I have recently started to try and get my server up and running, and I've run into a bit of a dead end and am unable to figure this out on my own. If anyone could assist me with it, via skype that'd be dope! My problem: Even though port 43594 is open, and 'canyouseeme.org' recognizes that its open, I am still unable to connect to my server, even though the IP is 100% correct and it runs on port 43594. http://prntscr.com/6otk6p Cookies to whoever can help. ^_^
11. Hey, i got a problem, my router has the port 43594 open but canyouseeme.org cannot see my device running. So i only putted port 43594 in settings.java, do i have to put somwhere else also port 43594? Beceause my other server does work, but another one not. Im using 718 revision so do i need to put 43594 in the server somwhere? The client does connect to the server, and port 43594 is OPEN and my server cannot be found by canyouseeme.org But my other server can be found here is proof: This server is succes: http://i.gyazo.com/49fa9a16d519f2b77f17c0a17c6815ca.png But this server doesn't work: http://i.gyazo.com/25cc1cdf253e918dfb6a29242dccc429.png
12. I just recently got done port forwarding it, replaced the with my new ip, checked everything to make sure its all correct and everything seemed fine! My No-ip is running, IP is running good, but when i run the client it stays at 0% loading and says error game js5 connect. Before i done all this, the ip was and was set for offline, but now that its setup for others to connect it wont work.. Any ideas? :/
13. Alright, well my friend cannot connect to any 317 RSPS. They are on the runelocus toplists and I can connect to them fine. He gets an error that says error connecting to server. We have tried 2 different servers (both 317) and I know they are online since I am connected to them. We are on different internet connections. Updated his java. Can't think of what could be causing it. Tried webclient and downloaded client also.
14. Hello peeps. I just realized that I still have my vBulletin license from earlier this year. I owned a server named RunePwn, runepwn.net and used it for the forum software. I'm probably never going to use it again due to loss of interest in RSPS. What's included? GreenFox Theme, With extra mobile suite. (Cost me $45 from vbdesigns) The Whole account, I'll change email and pass to what ever you want. vBulletin 3, 5 and 5/5 Connect. Mobile Forum Runner App. How do I contact you then? Skype - Joebenton2014. Send me a pm. How much did all this cost? I payed $298 for the vBulletin license, including taxs' and what not, Then I spend $40 on the GreenFox theme and $5 on the GreenFox mobile suite. What is vBulletin? vBulletin is the #1 forum software out there, most rsps sites use it, including this one, rspscoding and ************. How much are you charging? I'm doing this at near enough half price, I'd like $150 or nearest offer. (USD!!!) Transaction will be via paypal only. 15. Hey all, used to host a 474 years ago, not really used to 718s at all, so sorry if I'm somewhat noobish with the new file layout. I got a source up and running and can connect to it myself, both via local IP, and the IP I port forwarded and want the server to use. However I sent the compiled client to my friend (Ben_U's client) and he gets stuck at 0% connecting with an error. He has turned off his firewall completely, but still cannot join. We tried with another server's client and he managed to get in, so I don't think it's a Java issue. I'm somewhat stumped. I've tested my ports and they all work according to both Rune Locus and the program I use to port forward.
16. Okay, well some of you probably don't like using your actual Ip address for your RSPS. So to save you time and to save you releasing (possible personal information) I am going to make this guide just for you! Step 1: First you are going to need to make a no-ip username/password. You can do this here via: http://www.noip.com/ Now once you complete your process on making an account, please login: Step 2: After you have logged in, click Hosts/Redirects at the top left of the page. Step 3: Now you are going to want to add a host, you can do this via clicking Add Host, as seen here: Step 4: Now type in anything under hostname (usually it's your server name): Note: I changed the end of the domain to no-ip.org because I have always used that, you can always use any of the free domains as you wish. Step 5: Now since you have everything done via website, click Add Host in the bottom right: Step 6: Now you are going to download the no-ip client to your computer/vps. Here is the link to do so: https://www.noip.com/download?page=win Step 7: Once done downloading and installing your going to wait to launch No-Ip via desktop and login when it pops up: Once logged in, click edit hosts: Now simply click the box beside your host name then click save! Step 8: Once you have clicked save just re-name your server ip to whatever ip you checked in your no-ip client. If you have any questions please comment below and I will be happy to answer them.
17. Ok, soo, this is my first tutorial, so go easy on me lel. **Server Sided** Open your Settings.java You want to make sure that the "General Settings" Match this.
public static final String SERVER_NAME = "Osiris"; public static final int PORT_ID = 43594; public static final String LASTEST_UPDATE = "<col=7E2217>Latest update: Changed to 718!"; public static final String CACHE_PATH = "data/cache/"; public static final int RECEIVE_DATA_LIMIT = 7500; public static final int PACKET_SIZE_LIMIT = 7500; public static final int CLIENT_BUILD = 718; public static final int CUSTOM_CLIENT_BUILD = 3;
Most important is the CLIENT_BUILD = 718, and the CUSTOM_CLIENT_BUILD is either 1, 3, or 5. Well, the port is important as well... **Client Side** This part is a little bit trickier. Open your Loader.Java and change all of the IP's from "" or "" to either your NO-IP or your regular ip which can be found HERE Now make sure that
public static final int REVISION = 718;
Matches the CLIENT_BUILD from Settings.java(Server side) and that
public static int SUB_REVISION = 3;
Matches the CUSTOM_CLIENT_BUILD from Settings.java(Server side ofc) Ok, so close and save both of those if you have not done so already. Now normally, you would just compile the Source and Client right? Well, if you are using Matrix 718 client, there is a problem with that. When you run the compiler for the client, it says that there are 3 errors and 14 warnings, However, the errors aren't really errors so there is no way i know of to fix them. And if you know anything about compiling, if there are errors, the compiler doesn't compile anything. There are two ways to remedy this issue. 1. The easy way. Download Eclipse if you do not already have it. It can be found HERE. Once it is open, Click: File>New>Java project Like this Now a screen will pop up that looks like this. So, for project name, make it whatever you like, i have mine as "OsirisClient" so i know it's the client. Then, uncheck "Use Default Location" And hit browse. Navigate the browser to the client folder, don't open any of the folders inside, just the client folder itself . Now click "Finish". If you Look to the right you will see the new project and it will have an large red exclamation point on it meaning that something is wrong, but not critically wrong. That, will stop eclipse from compiling the client itself as to not mess anything up. The fix for that is pretty simple and goes as follows. Right click the Project folder, again in my case it is "OsirisClient" and click Build Path>Configure Build Path. that will open a screen that looks like this: The error, is that the directory for "clientlibs.jar" is incorrect, it doesn't match your actually directory. So, what you want to do is select the clientlibs.jar line and hit Edit on the right hand side. That will open up another browser window, so, browse to the lib folder of your client and double-click the clientlibs.jar file in there. And poof!, your red Exclamation point is gone, and Eclipse can now compile on its own. From here, what u want to do is re-open Loader.java and click in the middle of any word and add a space, then remove it. Now just close the file and it will tell you that it has been modified and ask if you want to save. Hit yes and it will close and compile the client folder. Now you are all set to Jar the client. I won't add that part in here cause there are guides all over the place for that. 2. The hard way. This one you would have to find out how to do on your own, but you just need to find out how to fix the three errors in the files, if im not mistaken, they are in Class466.java(Thats a good place to start looking for the fix). And that's it! I figured i would post this to help some ppl out cause i spent 4 hours trying to figure out how to let my brother and my friend on to test stuff xD I looked all over google and couldnt find the answer to my problems, and now there is one I hope you enjoyed and please, feel free to leave feedback on how i did with the tutorial. As i said, it was my first and i would like to do more, but i just need to know what i need to work on. Thanks for reading, Thorin

24. Hi, i made a jarred client. And when i finished it i tried to connect it through my computer (it worked). But on others peoples their computer it doesn't work ( i get a error like this:5_sj error connecting, or something, i think this is becuse the client is not connected to the server on the jarred file) . I use a normal 718 matrix client. Do i have to do (or change something) at the client files? Thanks for youre response.
25. Just as the title says. I can't connect to my own server. I host the server on my desktop and I can run my client locally fine but when I go to my laptop I tried using my IP and my Local IP and I just keep getting the JS5Connect Error. Any suggestions??
