  2. Hello, ive been looking around and have not been able to find animations for Nex and Vorago, i have both models and they spawn in game. Our server code is a little hard to work with an i am not able to hardcode anims in. If you have these animations and are willing to share please post a link below , also if you are good with adding animations/models/bosses etc. I would be more than happy to extend an invitation to our project. Also if anyone has the ganodermic beast models im looking for those too, all the links for these are on Uppit and none of the work :( theyre all broken. Thanks - Dora (Apoptosis)
  3. Hey guys! I'm here to talk about JavaFX. I believe many of you have never even heard of JavaFX. JavaFX is something worth knowing about though. As the name suggests, JavaFX is optimized for graphical programming. It has a very big API that gives several graphical features and possibilities. So why can't we just use Swing? That's simple. You can use Swing, but it's becoming a little bit obsolete. It has limited customization (alot more is possible with dirty tricks) and it misses some important elements that JavaFX has. 1. Stages and Scenes A notable difference between Swing and JavaFX is stages and scenes. You can look at it like this: A stage is where all your scenes will perform on. Like in a theater. It is the top level graphical container of your application. It is possible to create multiple stages. A scene is a single GUI screen. The JavaFX equivalent of a JFrame... sort of. 2. FXML The most awesome feature of JavaFX is probably FXML. FXML is in few words the design of your GUI. There is no java code in FXML. It is the GUI without the functionality. While this is amazing on its own, the real beauty comes when you create a controller/construct for an FXML file. There are two approaches of implementing your GUI. You use a construct You use a controller A construct is pretty much the same as a controller. With a controller you would specify it in your FXML where a construct is not specified and the FXML gets loaded into the construct. Here's an example of both: Controller class: public class ExampleController implements Initializable { @Override public void initialize(URL location, Resources resources) { //This is not often used } } Construct class: public class AnFXMLConstruct extends BorderPane { public AnFXMLConstruct() { //FXML is usually loaded here using the FXMLLoader class } } So... the construct looks like more fun. It is! All it has to do is extend the root pane you defined in the FXML and voila! Your FXML is initialized, you can write your code. Now you might be thinking, how do I make interaction between my code and the GUI components? Well that's also simple. For every component you wish to access or manipulate in the code is declared like this: public class AnFXMLConstruct extends BorderPane { [COLOR="#FF0000"] @FXML private Button btnOk;[/COLOR] public AnFXMLConstruct() { //FXML is usually loaded here using the FXMLLoader class } } You declare the attribute but do not initialize it. You add the @FXML annotation (so that the FXMLLoader can do its magic) and now you can do all the things to your btnOk. Just doing this will however not work; you also need to specify in your FXML that the fx:id is "btnOk". Without this you will receive errors and will have a non-functioning program. 3. Scene Builder The idea of FXML would not be a good idea if you would have to create it all by yourself. FXML CAN become quite dirty if you read it. FORTUNATELY you don't have to type it yourself. There exists this AMAZING tool called Scene Builder where you design your GUI like you can do with Matisse in Swing. Scene Builder is INCREDIBLE. 4. Graphical Power JavaFX is powerful. Not only in the graphical way. JavaFX automatically uses hardware accelerated rendering with the Prism engine (if hardware acceleration is available) which makes for very fluent GUIs. The JavaFX API contains alot of features regarding image manipulation, timeline events and animations, particle effects and many other visual effects. 5. Properties and Bindings Last but not least... Properties and bindings are amazing to say the least. Java on its own does not have properties. That's a shame. JavaFX does. It is not integrated into the Java language as other languages like C# but it is VERY helpful. Properties and bindings follow the Observer Pattern. This means that; For example if you use an ObservableList that contains some names and you bind this list to a ListView node; you will NOT have to change anything in the ListView. Everything you do with the ObservableList will be in sync with the ListView. The ObservableList notifies the bound nodes of a change and the nodes will change themselves to the new values. I could keep going endlessly about examples of usages and possibilities but it's better if you find it out yourself. Afterall this is just a basic introduction, covering some basic but incredible things of the JavaFX API. I hope you get into JavaFX and build the better GUI. As always, thanks for reading! 6.   7. Hey guys, I know that fixes for Corp Beast drops have already been posted before but none of them are workin for me. I'm using PI 317 and I'm getting no compiling errors. In My NPCDrops.tsm I have this for Corp; [CODE]#Corporeal Beast 8133:1 995:100 372:1[/CODE] 8133:1 = Npc ID / Drops Ratio (100%) 995:100 = Coins / 100 of them 372:1 = Raw swordfish / 1 of them (Because I read you need to add an additional line for rare drops for it to work) In NPC.cfg I have; [CODE]npc = 8133 Corporeal_Beast 785 740[/CODE] 8133 = NPC ID, 785 = CB LVL, 740 = HP. Yadda Yadda. Need anymore info? What's goin on here?

  11. Hey everyone I have tried to fix this problem to no avail and I was wonder if anyone else has a fix to this problem. When I spawn the npc 2745 which is jad, it disconnects and I could spawn any other monster fine except for some giant npcs. I have tried to spawn it in the cfg file but all it does is cause repeatedly disconnects. Thanks
