1. Seppe, I just posted the answer to the owner thing like 2 posts before you.. Go to player.java, search for "nexon" nexon was the owner name. replace his name with yours and you're all set.
2. For the people having trouble with the whole major lag/crashing thing, try editing your client's run path. For me i just switched to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" That literally solved everything for me. It wasn't the server, but rather the client that was freezing; but thats' just me. Hopefully that helps some people. For those having trouble making yourself an owner, go to your player.java and search for "nexon" switch his name for yours and wallah.
3. Lol. Yeah i figured that's what happened. 'Tsall good.
4. At this point I'm pretty much giving up though..
5. Im not trying to. Lol Im just trying to get it all worked out so that i can. I have no desire to publish a server (Way too much work and hassle) I just want to be able to keep playing RS without having internet..
6. Still didn't work tho. Had someone walking me through all this in PMs, but he poofed when we got to this point. After all this, its still not connecting to server. =/
7. Alright so i figured that out too. And changed it.. Now it says "Client.java uses unchecked or unsafe operation, recompile with -Xlint:unchecked for details" ._.
8. I said Greek, not Geek. And yeah, even in capable of doing that. No clue what to edit it to tho. Therein lies the problem.
9. ^ you're speaking Greek. I'm useless. I don't understand. :(
10. When i try to compile it says "The system cant find the path specified"
11.
either search client.java in your client folder, or just search no-ip. it will bring up client.java and maybe gui.java just change the randomname.no-ip.biz change it to 127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0
Alright so i did that. But its still not connecting. Normaly it would just fail to connect instantly, now its acting like its trying but failing. Had me all excited for a moment..
12. Forgive me if this makes me seem totally incompetent (If i don't seem so already) But how do i change the IP? I had actually tried that ( I don't remember where i saw to do that, but i think some random google link) on one of them but whatever i did totally didn't work and i gave up in frustration.
