1. Hello, I am having a very strange issue, I am getting fluctuating ping on my private server, even though I'm connecting via localhost. The ping stays at around 1-2ms, but every few seconds, it will jump up to 400-700, for a second, and then back down. Can anyone help me locate the cause of this problem? Thankyou. I'm using Chronicscape Project v2 Final Release Source and Client.
2. You need to import NPC. If that class exists, Which I don't believe it does on Clients.. ? I'm not sure..
3. I did just list one.. It works fine, and isn't the worst method to use.
4. Bumping or Double posting is against the rules. http://www.runelocus.com/forums/showthread.php?7585-No-bumping-or-double-posting
5. Navigate to the NPC class (NPC.java within the npc folder.....) 1.Find:
if (getFreezeDelay() < Utils.currentTimeMillis()) {
2.Under that, insert:
setRandomWalk(false);
3.And under that....insert......
if(id == ###) setRandomWalk(false);
(REPLACE ### with your npc id....)
6. If you could post the full error message it would be very helpful!
7. That's not an error, It's a warning, It pretty much means nothing. It happens to alot of people, just leave it; it's fine! Whatever you tried to compile has compiled successfully!
8. I have been looking though the code for about 3 hours now, trying to find where the URL for the online cache is, from where it downloads; however I cannot find it, and i'm wondering if anyone knows how to change the URL for the auto cache download, as I wish to make my own cache files for my server.

Hd problem

What client? Just try changing the client to a similar revision. It worked for me..
10. You need another "}" Somewhere. Try throw one in at the end. if not, you might have to check all your other statements for where it goes..
11. int targetSlot = Equipment.getItemSlot(itemId); if (targetSlot == -1) { player.getPackets().sendGameMessage("You can't wear that."); return true; } It's because of that, since it's new items you need to change the wearing slot in your Item Definitions
12. can you send me the full send wear method?
13.
public static boolean sendWear(Player player, int slotId, int itemId) { if (player.hasFinished() || player.isDead()) return false; Item item = player.getInventory().getItem(slotId); if (item == null || item.getId() != itemId) return false; if (item.getDefinitions().isNoted()) { player.getPackets().sendGameMessage("You can't wear that."); return true; }
Try that. By the way, Can you wear anything else?
14. Okay well, id start by looking what is going on when you wear it.. Search for the message that it says (you cant wear that) in all your files. (So you can find where its not allowing you) After that read though the code and temporarely disable the if statement causing things to become unwearable
15. Try to put messages that appear when you are trading to see what has been done, and what hasn't for example ("Reached 2nd trademenu") ("item1 transfered") So you can find out the line which is the problem by trial and error
16. Yeah, Ill try to do my best to help. Shoot me a PM with your TV details.

Hd problem

I had the same problem, Can you tell me what Source / Client you are using ?
18. I want to help you but I don't entirely understand what you mean, Can you go in depth please. Like descibe EVERYTHING you know :)
19. You need to put it under your Windows username.. To get there open your desktop in a folder, then go into your name.. (Eg for me, Draesia) Then its in there, You will see other folders such as My Pictures My Documents ect... Just throw it in that folder if you understand!
20. Okay, let me explain what this error means :) Basicly, Java will screw up with errors, so it's warning you that an error might occur if that file isn't found.. So it's asking you to tell it what to do, If it doesn't find the file.. FileNotFoundException; is what might Happen (The file might not be found) So to fix it, what you need to do, it surround your statement with Try and Catch, so it will try to find the file, if it doesn't work, then it won't kill itself trying to get it to work.. It'l just move on.. If you understand me.
if(cmd[0].equals("::backup")) { try { XStream xstream = XStreamUtil.getXStream(); xstream.toXML(player, new FileOutputStream("data/backups/"+player.getPlayerDetails().getUsername()+".xml")); player.sm("Succesfully make a backup of "+player.getDisplayName()+"."); } catch(FileNotFoundException e) { player.sm("Didn't make a backup of "+player.getDisplayName()+". Backup file was not found!"); } }
I hope that works for you. If it doesn't then I am sorry, Im just trying to help because not many people help in the help section.
21. Try look in your Equipment.java, Check if your unEquip method is all okay, heres mine for comparison,
public void unEquip(Player p, int itemId, int interfaceId, int slot) { if (slot < 0 || itemId < 0) { return; } if (checkUnequip(slot)) { return; } if (p.getInventory().getFreeSlots() <= 0) { p.sendMessage("You do not have enough inventory space to complete this action."); return; } ItemDefinition definition = ItemDefinition.forId(itemId); if (slot <= 15 && p.getEquipment().get(slot) != null) { if (p.getInventory().getContainer().add(p.getEquipment().get(slot))) { p.getEquipment().set(slot, null); p.getInventory().refresh(); } } if (hpModifier(definition)) { player.getSkills().lowerTotalHp(getModifier(definition)); } }
If that doesn't work, Look for your packet handlers to see if the unEquip method is being callled. If all else fails, Add sendmessages on the Buttonpress of the equipment menu, To give you info on the opcode ect. Sorry if my advice doesn't work. I'm just trying to help (Not enough people help in the help section)
22. I am using the method
public void dropItem(Player player, int slot, int itemId) { Item item = player.getInventory().getContainer().get(slot); ActionSender.sendMessage(player, "Dropping.."); if (item == null) { return; } player.getInventory().removeItems(item); GroundItemManager.createGroundItem(new GroundItem(player, item, player.getLocation(), false)); }
Called from
if (opcode == 39) { dropItem(player, slot, itemId); return true; }
In class InventoryListener.java I don't understand why It doesn't work, Unless it's the wrong opcode..
23. I'm using the Eyrescape 562/639 Dementhium source, And you can't drop Items, Not even when you die will you drop items, How can I fix this? Please ask me if you need anymore information on the problem, and sorry I can't provide any now; I have no clue on what the problem could be caused by. Thanks so much in advance
